What Are Practice Pearls?
Practice Pearls are short, practice-focused pieces from The Menopause Society. They aren't a separate kind of course. Newer pearls are short Academy courses, and some of those carry CME credit. Older pearls are documents.
Where to Find Them
Look for the Practice Pearls section on Academy Home and on Learning. On Academy Home, the Practice Pearls topic tag at the top jumps straight to it. Newest pearls come first.
You can also search for a topic from the Academy search box. Pearls appear in the results.
Finding Pearls With CME
A pearl that awards credit shows a CME chip on its card, such as 1 CME Credit, like any other course.
View all on the section opens a page of every pearl. There, two filters sit above the list: All and CME. Choose CME to see only the pearls that award credit.
Only course pearls can carry CME. Older document pearls never do.
Opening a Pearl
- A course pearl has a Practice Pearl tag and a Start Course button. It opens in the course reader, and you move through it and claim any CME in the same way as other courses. See Taking a course.
- An older pearl has a View Practice Pearl button. It opens in the document reader, where you can read it on the page or download it.
